Byaduk is a volcanic region, where you can discover Byaduk’s remarkable volcanic past.
The Towns name 'Byaduk' is from the Koori word for stone tomahawk. This small quaint village rests at the Southern tip of the Grampians, on top of Victoria's most recent volcano that erupted about 8,000 years ago.

Explore Byaduk caves then climb Mount Napier and see one the most breathtaking panoramic views of the Grampians and surrounding areas from Mount Napier Summit. Then just a short drive from Byaduk are the Tumuli Lava Blisters that are unweathered and in their natural state. An interesting Historic location on the way to the Lava Blisters is the Byaduk Zion Lutheran Church, who descendants from Prussia - German Empire (1871-1918) played a significant influence in the Early Settlement
of Byaduk, the church has stood surrounded
by Casuarina trees for over 130 years.

The Byaduk caves are closed in winter as
they house a Bentwing bat species who are vulnerable if disturbed.
See Byaduk Caves for more detail.
